I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Regina in 1999. From there I proceeded to the University of Saskatchewan where I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2007. As a part of my clinical training, I attended a pre-doctoral residency with Alberta Health Services in 2004. After finishing my residency, I was hired in the Outpatient Mental Health Program in the Cognitive Therapy Service where I spent the next eight years providing psychotherapy for a wide range of mental health concerns of varying severity.
I have been a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists since 2007. A strong interest in the areas of trauma and resilience motivated me to obtain advanced training for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I am a Certified Provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for (PTSD) and have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Additionally, I am a credentialed therapist with the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT).
